Athletics:  To try out for any sport, students need to present their certified birth certificate, a copy of their insurance card, parent permission  and physical form, and a signed copy of the team rules.  Football players must use a Football Parent Permission form.

Extracurricular activities:  Numerous clubs and activities are available to challenge and provide an outlet for interested students.  Joining an organization is a terrific way to meet new friends and enhance your high school years.  Meeting times will be announced on the daily bulletin, daily announcements, and website.

In order for a student to be eligibile to participate in an extracurricular activitity or athletics, they:

  • Must be in attendance for at least half of the school day in order to participate in any extracurricular activity or athletic event.
  • Must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 on the 4.0 scale each semester.
  • Must also pass at least 3 out of 4 classes each grading period.

NCAA Eligibility:  All prospective student-athletes who want to play in NCAA Division I or II intercollegiate athletics must meet the NCAA Eligibility test score, grade point average, and core  course requirements.   Open entry/open exit classes do not count.  Be sure to ask your coach and guidance counselor about these requirements or contact the NCAA Clearinghouse.
